Help Students Find A New Career Path With Try-A-Trade
Updated On: Sep 23, 2025

The Thurston - Lewis - Mason Central Labor Council is proud to join The South Sound Building and Construction Trades Council and The Capital Stem Alliance in introducing high school students to careers in the construction trades at this year’s Construction Try-A-Trade event on Thursday October 9th at the Satsop Business Park in Elma (150 Technology Ln, Elma, WA 98541 - click here for a map.)

This event brings high school students from throughout our region together with local unions and contractors. Teens will learn about career opportunities in the construction trades, and get the chance to try some of the work those trades take on with skilled professionals’ guidance and supervision.

If you know a high school student who’s searching for the right career path, don’t wait - share the attached flier with them today, and encourage them to talk to their school about registering for this year’s Try-A-Trade event... or to register themselves!
