May Day Is Coming! Join Us For A Free Movie on May 1st and An All Labor March On May 3rd!
Updated On: Apr 22, 2025

International Workers Day is just around the corner, and the Thurston Lewis Mason Central Labor Council is celebrating with not one but TWO events!

First, join us on Thursday, May 1st at the Capitol Theater for a free screening of the classic Labor film Salt Of The Earth. The doors will open at 6:00 PM, and the film will start at 7:00. There will be post-film discussion focused on local immigrant justice issues. You can find more information on the screening by clicking here.

Then we’ll be keeping the May Day spirit alive on Saturday May 3rd with an All Labor March for single-payer healthcare, immigrant rights, and our essential public services. Meet at the Tivoli Fountain at the State Capitol (103 Capitol Way S, Olympia, WA 98501 - click here for a map) at noon on May 3rd and be sure to wear your union colors! Keep an eye on this online calendar entry for more information as it develops.

RSVP For TLM Labor's May Day events by clicking here. Be sure to share this information with all the working people on your list and ask them to join us at the free film screening and the all Labor march - the more folks that turn out, the May-Day-merrier!
