Before the November election the Thurston-Lewis-Mason Central Labor Council endorsed 11 political candidates in their respective races. Each of our endorsed candidates made it through the primary election and was a candidate during the general election in November. In the general election in November 11 out of 13 candidates were successful in their election or re-election campaigns. We are looking forward to their work for the communities they represent. Even though they were not successful, we are also proud of the campaign of Paul Crowner for Centralia Port Commissioner and Jessie Simmons for Olympia Port Commissioner.
Most the endorsed candidates are currently or have previously been a part of a union and we believe that all our endorsed candidates will be advocates in their communities for working people.
To be endorsed, the candidates were interviewed by members of the Thurston-Lewis-Mason Central Labor Council. If you are interested in the endorsement process, you can volunteer to be on an endorsement committee during council meetings.
