Old Business
- Bylaws Review by National Labor Council office – Update? No update.
- Thurston Public Power Initiative – T. Paul Schell – Bob Guenther has opted out of this to not create a conflict of interest. PS – has attended all the meetings. Reported that the committee is not acting in unified matter and recommends our withdrawl from the committee. BG –
M/S/C to remove our participation to this committee. Motion passed with 2 abstensions. BG will write a letter to the committee about us opting out. - Don Cline made a report on Republican dinner February 11, 2012
- Discussion on tents for Occupy Olympia.7
- Credentials for next meeting and swearing in of new delegates.
- Apprenticeship Program – discussion on Regional Apprenticeship Conference April 17-18 and the CLC participation in supporting this event.
New Business
- American Crystal Sugar Lockout – Pres. Guenther tabled till next meeting.
- Cope Convention Delegates – 3 Regular and 3 alternates offered to serve for this assignment. Bridget Flory, Peter Lahmann, Debra Solomon, regular delegate and Bill Anderson, Joseph Carter, Carole Watson alternate delegates.
PL will get registrations in to the WSLC. - Transalta Bill – Motion to appoint Labor person to committee on 5769 to manage legislation M/S/C We will accept the responsibility to appoint. This to be done at next regular meeting. There was discussion that they need to do work on the plant and eventually they want to build a 1000 megawatt gas plant.
